Between a Rock and a Hard Place: IOTD

Between a rock and a hard place

Meaning: To be in a difficult situation that requires making a decision between two equally unpleasant options.

Example: When her husband asked her to leave work early to take care of their sick child, but her boss told her she would lose her job if she didn't finish her shift, she was between a rock and a hard place.
